Interventions

Interventions can losely be divided into procedures and operations. Procedures on the whole require local anaesthetic and operations require general, however not all interventions fall into this categorisation schema perfectly!

Perhaps a better definition of an operation is by location, i.e. an intervention that is performed in theatre vs on the wards/ in a day unit.
