• Background: autoimmune condition affecting glomerular basement membrane

• Presentation: tense bulla throughout body, mucous surfaces sparing (can be itchy); unusual in under 60 year olds

• Diagnosis: antibodies: anti-hemi-desmosome 180 and 230; biopsy: basement membrane damage

• Management: steroids
