Horner's Syndrome

• Horner's Syndrome is caused by damage to the sympathetic trunk T8-12, typically from a Pancoast Lung Cancer in the upper lobes or Carotid Artery Dissection 

• Presentation (triad PAM): ptosis (dropping pupil), anhydrosis (lack of sweating), miosis (small pupil)

• Remember sympathetic system causes enlarged pupil so blocking this would result in a small pupil

• Diagnosis- clinical. Management- investigate underlying cause- CT CAP with contrast.
