Leprosy is disease affecting primarily the developing world caused by mycobacterium leprae
Presentation: numb skin patches, peripheral neuropathy (sensory > motor) and later palpable nerves
Diagnosis: clinical- acid fast bacilli (AFB) from skin biopsy plus clinical signs above
Management: rifampicin, dapsone +- clofazimine if severe (6-12 months)
