HyperThermia (Pyrexia)

Causes 

• Inflammatory response: 

  • Infection/ Sepsis 

  • Malignancy

  • Stroke

  • Drug/ CNS

    • Serotonin Syndrome 

    • Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS) 

  • Allergy: drug, transfusion reaction

• Severe hypothyroidism

• Malignant hyperthermia

• Environmental heat exposure
