• Transmission: mosquitos

• Presentation: foreign travel + febrile, hypotension, arthralgia, lymphopenia, thrombocytopenia

• Management: supportive

• Common in Caribbean 

• Uses Aedes mosquito, same as Dengue fever & Zika virus

Assessment

History

• Foreign Travel

• Febrile, headaches, rash

Examination

• Febrile, hypotensive

• Arthralgia

Investigations

• Low platelets, lymphopenia

• Blood PCR

• Antibodies detectable for 2 month

Diagnosis

Diagnostic- usually clinical

Differentials: Dengue and Zika- fevers higher + arthralgia in Chikungunya
