GORD: Gastro-intestinal reflux disease occurs when stomach acid moves into the distal oesphagus causing dyspesia
Associations: Obesity , Hiatus Hernia
Presentation- epigastric burning pain after spicy meals
Management: PPI, endoscopy if concerning features
Indications for Urgent Endoscopy (two weeks)
Chronic GI bleeding
Unintentional weight loss
Progressive dysphagia
Persistent vomiting
Iron deficiency anaemia
Epigastric mass
Suspicious barium meal
