• SVCO: superior vena cava obstruction

• Commonly caused with obstructive cancerous mass: e.g. lymphoma or lung cancer

• Classical sign- Pemberton's: facial flushing by raising arms

• Diagnosis: clinical + radiological signs (CT)

• Management: endovascular stenting

Management

• Radiotherapy can be effective but takes days causes scaring of tissue preventing future stenting

• Steroids can reduce local oedema and is an option in candidates who aren't for stents
