SVCO: superior vena cava obstruction
Commonly caused with obstructive cancerous mass: e.g. lymphoma or lung cancer
Classical sign- Pemberton's: facial flushing by raising arms
Diagnosis: clinical + radiological signs (CT)
Management: endovascular stenting
Management
Radiotherapy can be effective but takes days causes scaring of tissue preventing future stenting
Steroids can reduce local oedema and is an option in candidates who aren't for stents
