• Presentation: cough, coryza, fevers, malaise, myalgia

• Diagnosis: respiratory PCR

• Mx: oseltamivir in over 65yrs without immunosuppression and within 48hrs of onset

• Prophylaxis: yearly vaccine

NICE recommends antivirals for influenza in (3/3)

1. At risk patients

   • Over 65yrs

   • Cardiovascular, respiratory, liver, kidney or neurological disease

2. High level of clinical suspicions

3. Within 48hrs of symptoms
