• Hypothyroidism is a sign, defined as low thyroid hormones, most commonly caused by Hashimoto's thyroiditis in the UK and iodine deficiency worldwide

• Presentation: cold intolerance, weight gain, lethargy

• Diagnosis: low T3

• Management: usually PO levothyroxine after considering underlying cause
